Tender description

The Authority intends to award a contract to an existing provider following Direct Award Process C under The Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 for a twelve month period until 31/03/2027. The High Dependency RRR Service provides an essential service for older people with more complex health care needs that can be met in a residential service. The outcomes achieved for people in this service are evidence that the model is effective - the HD D2A model has received national recognition by NHS England for innovation. The effectiveness of the High Dependency service relies on health, clinical and social care partners working closely to achieve outstanding outcomes with people using the service. The key criteria of the Provider selection regime and the Authority is of the view that the existing provider is satisfying the existing contract to a sufficient standard and that they will likely satisfy the proposed contract to a sufficient standard. Commissioners from the ICB and the city have recently reviewed the effectiveness of the service the current provider has been able to meet the specification, has responded to the challenging nature of the service effectively and achieved good outcomes with people. Additional information: This is a Provider Selection Regime (PSR) intention to award notice. The awarding of this contract is subject to the Health Care Services (PSR) Regulations 2023. For the avoidance of doubt, the provisions of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 do not apply to this award. The publication of this notice marks the standstill period. Representations by providers must be made to decision makers by 15/12/2025. the contract has not yet been formally awarded this notice serves as an intention to award under PSR direct award process C.
