Smart Connected Social Places Programme - Asset Based Connectivity

Tender description

Glasgow City Council have a requirement to undertake a Negotiated Procedure under Standing Order 8 of the Council's Standing Orders on Contracts for the Provision of Smart Connected Social Places Programme - Asset Based Connectivity. The equipment required can be attached to the council's fleet to enable the equipment to capture comprehensive connectivity coverage including 4G,5G, LoRaWAN and fixed fibre infrastructure. The award of this contract under the Negotiated Tendering Procedure can be justified under Standing Order 8.4 of the Council's Standing Orders on Contracts, Regulation 33 (1)(b) of the Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015 for the following reasons: The services can be supplied by only one suitable supplier because competition is absent for technical reasons and the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the parameters of the procurement. The contract term will be for 1 year from 01 August 2025 until 31 July 2026. Lot 1: Award of a contract without prior publication of a call from competition.
