Recant of the National Archives records from off-site Storage to new repository at Bishop Street, Dublin 8.

The National Archives are seeking services to collect and deliver palleted boxes of Archival records from 2 off-site storage facilities and the Four Courts. This would require a truck with tail lift. It would involve the movement of 60,000 to 140,000 boxes. Both off-site storage sites are in the greater Dublin area. We are also seeking services to help organise and shelve boxes in the new Repository. This work will be done in conjunction with deliveries of boxes from the off-site storage and re-organization of other storage areas at Bishop Street. It is anticipated that this contract will be for 2 years, beginning March 2026. The purpose of this market soundings exercise is to identify suitable services and suppliers who would be interested in such a tender process. The objective is to get a clear understanding of what will be involved in planning, coordinating and delivering these services and costs involved.
