The School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering wishes to purchase a state-of-the-art Compression Moulding Press that forms a critical component of the new Polymer Micro-Processing Suite at Queen’s University Belfast. The goal is to establish a unique UK capability for gram-to-kilogram scale processing of a wide range of thermoplastic materials, enabling early-stage polymer and composite innovation, hands-on training for students, and collaborative industrially-focussed R&D with particular emphasis on supporting the needs of Northern Ireland SMEs
