UKRI-5353 LISA 2 ISO 6 Cleanroom Facility

Tender description

The UK Astronomy Technology Centre (UKATC) require the fitout of an existing ground floor area within the Villas building on their Edinburgh Campus into a fully functioning ISO 6 cleanroom facility with ancillary support rooms. The existing area is currently occupied by an electronics laboratory, which will be decommissioned, with all existing finishes and services removed as part of an enabling works package under a separate contract. The new facility will be used to manufacture optical devices which require an ISO 6 cleanroom environment. The devices will be manufactured on the bed of a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). They have a mass which mandates the use of a material handling cart.
