SPS-11003 HMP Perth Boiler Upgrade

Tender description

The Main Energy Centre at HMP Perth has 4No 1200kW dual fuel (gas/oil) boilers which provide Medium Temperature Hot Water (MTHW) at 120/90C to all buildings on-site. The MTHW provides heating and hot water to each building via MTHW-LTHW plate heat exchangers. The Works shall include the design, installation, testing and commissioning of replacement dual fuel boilers of equivalent output together with associated burners, pipework, headers, pumps, pressurisation unit, flues, valves, gas and oil safety systems and controls installations. The works shall include the design and installation of a new central 24m high chimney stack/windshield with stainless steel flue liners, to replace the existing. Lot 1: The Scottish Prison Service (SPS) has commenced this procurement process with the intention of awarding a contract. The purpose of this Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to determine interest within the marketplace for this project.
