Timetabling System for High Education

Tender description

The University of Reading (RC000665) ("UOR") is carrying out a market testing exercise to find out information on providers and solutions already on the market. We are looking for out of the box software and not looking to work with a software development company to produce a solution from scratch. We are looking to further understand the functionality available, implementation and resources required, as well as an estimated budget for the project. We currently have 17,000 FTE students. <br />For general information about UOR, including history of the estate and campus, facilities and governance, please see UOR’s website at: http://www.reading.ac.uk/about/.<br /><br />The key aims of our market engagement are to;<br /><br />• Understand the up to date functionality available on the market for a timetabling system, examination scheduling and room booking system;<br />• Which providers have had experience with working/delivering a project with a University;<br />• Which providers would be interested in participating, if we tendered in the next six months;<br />• Understanding of resource requirements needed internally to support provider with delivery;<br />• Budget estimate required;<br />• If Work Allocation Modules are available as add On’s or is a separate system to the timetabling system.<br /><br />We would like to invite suppliers to respond to how they could meet some or all of the requirements identified here. We would also like to give any interested suppliers the opportunity to demonstrate what their approach might be to our business needs.<br />
