Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Replacement and Associated Calibration Services

HIAL Airport Fire Service is planning to transition from the use of 1800 litre, 200 Bar breathing apparatus cylinders to 2430 litre, 300 Bar cylinders. This is in keeping with current cylinder lifespan to ensure compliance within the Organisation. This tender aims to procure goods and services in order to facilitate this transition. This will potentially involve two separate lots that can be tendered for together or separately. Lot 1: Breathing Apparatus Cylinder Replacement The procurement of breathing apparatus cylinders. The supply of 9 litre capacity, 300 Bar breathing apparatus cylinders, compatible with Draeger PSS7000 breathing apparatus sets. It will be necessary for breathing apparatus cylinders to be delivered to the identified sites in advance of the recalibration work taking place, and depending on the outcome of the tender, to ensure this happens, coordination will be required between the supplier of the goods and the supplier of the services. Lot 2: Associated Calibration Services The procurement of services to recalibrate HIAL’s existing breathing air compressors and breathing apparatus set warning devices to enable them to charge to 300 Bar in the case of the compressors and, in the case of the warning devices, provide the wearer with accurate data on cylinder contents, and remaining time of use.
