Recurrent Redistribution of Orthodontic UOAs in Northampton

This notice is placed as a Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform the market of Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) intention to commission Recurrent Redistribution of Orthodontic UOAs in Northampton. The Commissioner would like to understand the level of provider interest in delivering these services. Lot 1: Background:<br/>East Midlands Primary Care Team (EMPCT) on behalf of NHS Northamptonshire Integrated Care Board (The Commissioner) is issuing this Prior Information Notice (PIN) to inform the market of a forthcoming opportunity for the recurrent redistribution of orthodontic Units of Orthodontic Activity (UOAs) within the Northampton area. This follows the closure of an existing Personal Dental Services (PDS) orthodontic contract and aims to ensure continuity of care and equitable access to NHS orthodontic services.<br/><br/>The redistribution relates to 8,135 UOAs previously delivered under a PDS orthodontic contract which has now ceased. EMPCT is seeking to reallocate these UOAs to one or more existing providers within a 5-mile radius of postcode NN1 5PT (Northampton), who are able to demonstrate capacity, compliance, and quality in delivering NHS orthodontic care.<br/><br/>Indicative Scope:<br/>• Recurrent allocation of 8,135 UOAs per annum<br/>• Delivery within a 5-mile radius of NN1 5PT<br/>• Providers must hold an existing NHS orthodontic contract<br/>• Service delivery must comply with national orthodontic commissioning standards and local access priorities<br/><br/>Next Steps:<br/><br/>This PIN is issued for market engagement purposes only and does not constitute a call for competition.
