Tender description

The objective of this tender is select suppliers to provide MRO parts, consumables and services in 5 broad areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Small Bore Pipe Work, Hydraulic Pipes and Fittings and Legacy PLC Parts. In responding to this tender, you are confirming you are able to undertake the full suite of services set out in the Framework Agreement and associated schedules. The tender is defined by 5 lots, these are considered as separate services and Tenderers can tender for one or multiple services. All lots cover the provision of parts and consumables. In addition, Lot 4 Hydraulics Pipes & Fittings has a service element whereby the supplier would be required to come onto site to prepare pipes and install them to fix, for example, a leak or burst. Lot Lot 1 - Mechanical Goods: For Lots 1 we are seeking out suppliers to be able to deliver stock to Southern Water stores and stock shelves accordingly. Provision of parts. See non-exhaustive list: • Mechanical Hand tools & workshop • Mechanical Fasteners & Hardware • Mechanical Power Transmission • Pneumatics • Heating & ventilation • Seals & Bearings • Workshop machinery • Weldings • Burnings • Cuttings Lot Lot 2 - General Electrical Goods: For 2, (and optionally for Lot 3) we are seeking out suppliers to be able to deliver stock to Southern Water stores and stock shelves accordingly Provision of parts. See non-exhaustive list: • Electrical Hand tools & workshop • Electrical Fasteners & Hardware • Electrical & electronic components • Electrical cables, conduits & accessories • Lighting, lamps & tubes • Switchgear & distribution • Test measurement equipment • Calibration of tools • Heating & ventilation Lot Lot 3 Small Bore Pipe Works Parts: Provision of parts. See non-exhaustive list: • Small bore pipe, fittings, hoses, valves • Specialist fittings (e.g. waterbreaks) For lot 3 we are seeking as a non-critical option suppliers that are able to deliver stock to Southern Water stores and stock shelves accordingly. Lot Lot 4 Hydraulic Pipes & Fittings Parts and Services: Provision of parts. See non-exhaustive list: o Hydraulic Pipes and Fittings o Service - On site repair, installation and make up of hydraulic pipes The Supplier shall be required to supply Deliverables relating to the Lot, which shall include:- This Lot will cover planned and reactive services such as (but not limited to):- • the procurement, management, storage and delivery of all Equipment, Plant and Materials necessary to complete the Services; and • project management; • design; • installations of pipes; • Repairs, refurbishments and / or replacements of hydraulic pipes, fittings, hoses and associated components • both on-site and off-site in workshops. The Services and works will be carried out on-site as site work and as workshop repairs; and may include both the refurbishment of assets and the production of new parts needed to complete repair or refurbishment of such assets The Supplier will be required to provide a 24 hours per day / 7 days per week response service for repairs and maintenance of mechanical and electrical assets. Awarded suppliers are also expected to provide incident management support services, that include, but are not limited to, providing a single point of on site management of sub-contractors, other contract partners and on-site co-ordination of both SWS maintenance teams and sub-contractors Lot Lot 5 Legacy PLC Parts: This lot includes the provision of legacy PLC parts and equipment to Southern Water. This includes but is not limited to the parts listed within Appendix 5, and includes any parts and spares required for legacy equipment in the future.
