Tender description

The Department needs to understand the impact of mineral development policy on the local environment. The minerals policy will set the framework for mineral exploration and development, therefore the Department requires a Supplier to carry out a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) that fully meets the requirements of The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004, and a Habitats Regulations Assessment (HRA) that fully meets the requirements of Regulation 43 of the Conservation (Natural Habitats, etc.) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1995 (as amended). ## Contract award Title: DFE - MAPB - Energy Group - Strategic Environmental Assessment & Habitats Regulations Assessment of Mineral Development in Northern Ireland
