Tender description

The Cognitive Stimulation Therapy (CST) service provides structured, evidence-based group therapy to support people living with mild to moderate stages of a dementia. The program consists of themed activities designed to actively stimulate and engage individuals, while promoting social interaction and cognitive function. It is currently the only non-drug treatment recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for mild to moderate dementia. The aims of the service are: • Maintain or improve cognitive functioning and quality of life. • Enhance communication and social interaction. • Delay the inevitable progression of dementia • Support individuals to remain active, engaged, and independent for as long as possible
