RAF Fairford Munitions Holding Area (MHA)

Tender description

​The project is to construct, commission and hand over a compliant Munitions Holding Area ​The proposal is to construct a new MHA that will accommodate a variety of munition types. The proposed assets will include, an Entry Control Building (ECB), Barricaded Holding Areas, Counter Measures (CM) and Joint Air to Surface Standoff Missile (JASSM) storage facilities, and Munitions Assembly Conveyor (MAC) facilities supported by access roadways, water, drainage, and power supply infrastructure, as well as physical security protection and vehicle parking requirements. ​ ​The scope of the Project consist of but are not limited to: ​Demolition of existing buildings and features, ​All necessary geotechnical engineering, enabling and temporary works associated with the project, ​Construction of all facilities and associated infrastructure. ​Upgrading or diversion of services/supporting facilities.
