KU Estates Building Consultancy Framework

Kingston University is seeking to create a Framework to provide all of the management services necessary to develop, tender and construct projects. <br />The University is intending to create a new consultancy framework to call off for managing potential projects from the Estate Programme. <br />This is a programme of projects across the University’s four campuses that will include a range of requirements from formal teaching spaces, learning spaces, staff offices, breakout/informal study areas, workshops, laboratories, student social spaces, support spaces, performance spaces, and external areas. Projects are expected have construction values ranging from £50,000 up to £5,000,000 but in exceptional circumstances the value of an individual project may exceed this figure.<br /><br />The Framework will be divided into lots broken down into individual disciplines, Kingston University intends to appoint contractors to each lot; <br /><br />The lots are listed below -<br />LOT 1: Architectural Services<br />LOT 2: Building Services Engineers<br />LOT 3: Project & Cost Managers<br />LOT 4: Structural & Civil Engineers<br />LOT 5: Building Surveyors<br />LOT 6: Fire Safety Consultants<br /><br />The Procurement is split into two stages, a PSQ stage and ITP stage (successful consultants will be appointed to the Framework per LOT based on the assessment at ITP stage). <br />At PSQ Stage we are using some technical experience questions to be answered in the first stage, the answers will be assessed by an experienced panel that upon agreement shall progress up to six bidders for LOTs 1-5 and up to four for LOT 6, to progress to a secondary tender competition stage that will have the opportunity to be appointed to the Framework.<br />Please read and understand the PSQ document and the ITP draft of the relevant LOT you may be interested in for further details. <br /><br />When submitting a PSQ response for each LOT, please click on the 'PSQ Selection Stage' tab and scroll down to the dialog box listed as; <br />"Select documents you wish to add to the My Tender Return section above using the Attach Documents button below."<br />Beneath the 'Upload File' button, please select from the drop down list which LOT you are submitting a response to, bidders can apply for multiple LOTs; we expect the answers to Questions in 'Part 3B - Additional Questions' to reflect the skillset of the intended consultancy service specific to each LOT. <br />For example, if you apply for a place on the Architect LOT, please cater you answers to the scope of services for the Architect LOT and upload to the LOT 1 envelope. If applying for the Building Surveyor LOT, again please tailor you answers to the questions in part 3B of the PSQ to the scope and information within LOT 5 for Building Surveyors. <br />Bidders can apply for more than one LOT, please select the relevant LOT envelope when uploading submissions to be considered for that LOT/ Consultant service.
