The Irish Coast Guard (IRCG) is a Division of the Department of Transport (DoT) and a national emergency service. The aim of IRCG is to deliver world class search and rescue (SAR), marine casualty, and pollution response service. The current Volunteer Management System has been a valuable tool in supporting the organisation’s operations. However, to meet additional functional requirements, keep pace with technological advancements, and introduce greater automation and streamlined processes, the organisation has decided to replace the existing Volunteer Management System with a more enhanced and modernised system including a mobile device application.
