Tender description

Please find attached documentation for a quick quote competition to provide a full inventory and vegetation assessment survey to Isle of Man Railways, Department of Infrastructure to be carried out by October 2025.<br /><br />Isle of Man Railways (IOMR) is looking to procure the services of an arboricultural and vegetation specialist consultant to undertake a full inventory survey and visual tree assessment (VTA) across the full length of the Isle of Man Steam Railway, broken down into 13 worksites covering a total linear meterage of 22.9 KM across the full width of the rail corridor. This package of works does not include any of the Railway Stations, which have already been assessed under the Priority 1 works.<br /><br />Any preliminary works that may prohibit or reduce the value of the inventory survey or VTA shall be identified and undertaken by the successful contractor prior to the primary survey and VTA works being undertaken, such as scrub, ivy or epicormic growth removal.<br /><br />Following the completion of the full inventory survey and visual tree assessments, the contractor shall produce a comprehensive report for each site. This report shall outline key findings, identify tree or vegetation related hazards and foreseeable risks to persons or property, and provide clear, actionable recommendations for hazard management and risk mitigation. Additionally, the report shall highlight opportunities for arboricultural and silvicultural interventions aimed at improving the health, longevity, amenity value, and visual quality of the tree stock, while also enhancing railway safety, operational sightlines, and reducing future maintenance demands and infrastructure risks such as lineside fires.<br /><br />The attached documentation consists of:<br />- Quick Quote - IMR Full Inventory & Vegetation Assessment Survey 2025<br />- Site Plan Folder - containing aerial plans and track diagrams of the 13 worksites. <br />- IOMR Vegetation Intervention Zones Diagram. <br />- Standard Terms and Conditions for Goods and/or Services<br /><br />The Quick Quote will remain available on the Portal for Expressions of Interest until noon (12.00 hrs) on Friday 25th July 2025 and the deadline for submissions is noon (12.00 hrs) on Wednesday 30th July 2025 and your response must be submitted through the portal by this deadline. <br /><br />Once you have selected `Express Interest` a `Quote Documents` tab will appear and this is where you will find the above mentioned documents.<br /><br />After the above deadline the Portal will `Lock-Out` and no further submissions can be made.<br /><br />If your organisation does not wish to submit a response to provide these services, please select `Opt-Out` and select a reason.
