Aspire Academy Trust - Provision of School Compliance Kitchen Cleaning

Tender description

The Contractor will be responsible for the provision of skilled operatives to deliver a cleaning service to kitchen equipment including periodic high level and extraction cleaning. As duties include working with gas and electricity, they should be able to demonstrate compliance with Gas Safe, current electrical and F gas regulations. General Requirements: a. Canopy cleans/annum and an annual ventilation ductwork clean. b. Annual high level clean c. To arrange any appointments to visit school with the Site Manager. These should avoid times when the kitchen is in use. d. The contractor shall consider whether the use of any form of chemical (for uses including but not limited to high level and extraction cleaning) is strictly necessary before application. e. The contractor will ensure that their staff respect that the areas that they are working in and are dressed appropriately. They must ensure no contamination as a result of any work. They must ensure that they clean the areas affected by their work to a suitably tidy and hygienic condition f. All chemicals must be kept safe under lock and key when not in use. Empty containers must be removed from site and disposed of in a manner approved in the relevant regulations. All chemicals must be kept in their original, clearly labelled containers. g. All chemicals must be approved by the Estates Manager prior to use and used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and in accordance with the relevant regulations or subsequent amendments for the purposes of use, storage and disposal. COSHH Risk Assessments must be produced for all chemicals used. h. The contractor will ensure that operatives booked to attend site do so within 30 minutes either side of the appointment time. i. The contractor will ensure reactive works reported are completed within the set timeframe j. The contractor will arrange the canopy maintenance cleans during the main school holidays. Deep cleans are not part of this contract
