Argyll and Bute Council aims to upgrade the existing CCTV systems from analogue to digital (IP compatible solution) in five specified towns to enhance surveillance capabilities and improve public safety: - Campbeltown: Upgrade 4 analogue cameras to digital - Dunoon: Upgrade 11 analogue cameras to digital - Helensburgh: Upgrade 5 analogue cameras to digital - Rothesay – island location: Upgrade 7 analogue cameras to digital - Oban: Upgrade 12 analogue cameras to digital The transition from analogue to digital CCTV systems is intended to: - Improve the quality and clarity of surveillance footage. - Enhance the ability to monitor and respond to incidents in real-time. - Increase storage capacity and ease of access to recorded footage. - Integrate with modern security systems and technologies. There is the option to include Planned & Reactive Maintenance of the said CCTV system. This includes routine checks, software updates and hardware inspections. In addition to planned maintenance, reactive maintenance protocols will be in place to address any unexpected issues or malfunctions. This ensures that any problems are promptly resolved to maintain continuous surveillance and security.
