1. BackgroundCommunity and Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) is seeking to commission a suitablyexperienced consultant to undertake a focused asset mapping exercise of communitytransport provision delivered by the third sector across the County Borough of Conwy.Community transport is a vital service in this predominantly rural area, often acting as alifeline for people who are socially isolated or lack access to public or private transport.This project aims to build a clear and up-to-date picture of what community transportexists, where gaps lie, the implications of legislation and regulation, and where unmetneed may justify investment in additional provision. The findings will support CVSC ininfluencing policy and practice, and in identifying funding opportunities to strengthenand expand community transport in the area.
