Bridge Inspections - Professional Diving

Tender description

BEAR Scotland are seeking to appoint a diving contractor to carry out diving inspection works of bridges throughout the South east and North West of Scotland to assess for scour and structural damage of bridges. The Diving contractor shall be audited by a subject matter expert. The subject matter expert shall ensure the Diving Contractors are working in line with the Diving at Work Regulations Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) for Commercial Diving Projects Inland/Inshore L104, when assessing the competency of a Diving Contractor for a specific project or selecting a Diving Contractor. Consideration should be given to the following; Team size: 5 as a minimum. Equipment: Surface Supplied Management systems: 9001, 45001, 14001 Auditing: third party Company policy Diving manual Diver qualifications Supervisor qualifications Industry best practice The Diving Contractors must have the following: Are registered as an HSE Diving Contractor (as stipulated in regulation 7 of the Diving at Work Regulations 1997); Have relevant insurance; Are working to the Diving at Work Regulations and the relevant Approved Code of Practice: along with the other Legislation, including; Health and Safety at Work Act, Lifting Operation and Lifting Equipment Regulation, Reporting of Incidents Diseases Dangers Occurrences Regulation, CDM Regulations, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations.
