Tender description
The council is in the process of commissioning and further updating evidence to inform its draft Local Plan policies, including Economy and Retail Studies. This is due to implications arising from the census 2021 and December 2024 NPPF, primarily in terms of housing but also employment requirements. With a proposed revised transition timeframe of December 2026 for the submission of Local Plans for examination, there will be implications for the 15-year time horizon of the emerging plan too, which will now extend to 2042.
