This Pre-Procurement Exercise is being run to support the consolidation of the existing verification and identity check contracts to be procured through an open-procedure. The objective of NHS login is to simplify the adoption of digital tools and services that require secure verification and authentication, by providing a simple, consistent, and trusted mechanism for users to access digital services in health and social care. NHS login ensures users are correctly matched to their NHS record (via NHS number or appropriate record identifier) so they can gain access to the service they require. Users require identity verification to an assurance level that is appropriate to the service they are trying to access.
