Tender description

Provide North Ayrshire Council with airborne tree and vegetation survey and analysis services in relation to identifying those trees affected with Ash Dieback Disease. Lot 1: To provide North Ayrshire Council with airborne tree and vegetation survey and analysis services. Required to locate trees affected with Ash Dieback Disease within the jurisdiction and identify the individual stages, (1,2,3 and 4) of those Ash trees affected with Ash Dieback Disease. To allow North Ayrshire Council to move forward with a strategy in dealing with the disease, thereafter. We propose acquiring, processing and obtaining results of airborne imagery across North Ayrshire - an area of approx. 903 km2, in summer 2025. To carry out Pre-Flight Planning to include seeking any special approvals required to operate in the area. To mobilise equipment, including preparation, freight, insurances and carnets. To include provision for travel, preparation, setup and calibration, acquisition of imagery and client liaison. Fixed-wing flight charter via suitable aircraft operator equipped and approved to attach a camera. To include all GIS tasks where required, mapping and statistical analysis and desktop analysis. Report with findings of the survey also to be submitted..
