The Provision of Garden and Food Waste Recycling Services

Tender description

The Provision of appropriately licenced facilities for the acceptance, storage and treatment of combined garden and food wastes. This contract does not include the collection element of the service as this is undertaken by the Council's own in-house operation. The list of garden waste materials which will be accepted are as follows: Grass cuttings; Hedge Clippings; Leaves; Dead house and bedding plants; Windfall Fruit; Weeds; Twigs and small branches (not more 7 cm thick). The list of food waste materials which will be accepted as follows: Dairy products (including eggshells); Breads, pastries, cakes; Cooked and uncooked food; Meat, fish and poultry (including bones); Out of date food; Pasta, rice and beans; Teabags and coffee grounds; Uneaten leftovers (including takeaways); Vegetables and Fruit (including peelings)
