Tender description

AHDB is seeking a supplier to provide an appropriate online training portal, to be hosted on an online LMS designed and developed by the supplier. The UK Pig Industry Welfare Training was developed and launched in March 2022 to fulfil a need for stakeholders and businesses within the industry to provide evidence of training those practically working with pigs in pig handling standards and best practices. To date, >7700 people have completed the course. The course material was developed with representatives of the UK pig industry, and has developed over time, including the addition of best practice videos and advice for handling pigs on outdoor units. The training is industry recognised, and its mandatory completion is also included in Red Tractor Farm Assurance Standards for Pigs.
