Bus Shelter Maintenance Concession

Tender description

The Council provides 130 bus shelters on bus routes throughout the Bracknell Forest area. The maintenance of these is delivered by a concessionaire, with advertising rights in connection to the shelters and other designated locations being granted to the concessionaire. The Council will be procuring a new concession contract for a period of up to 20 years - the precise format of the initial term and any extension is still being considered. Some variation on shelter locations is expected during the tender period due to potential adjustments required based upon new Council bus routes. Final locations of shelters will be agreed with the successful bidder as part of contract mobilisation. The Council may also be making some limited locations available to the concessionaire to install and utilise digital advertising units beyond those locations where bus shelters are present.
