Reroofing Works at 79 North Street & Old Union Cafe

The Works: - Stripping and re-slating of pitched roofs and dormer windows. - Replacing any rotten timber, including sarking boards and rafters. - Routering of all tongued and grooved sarking boards to remove the tongue to allow for improved ventilation throughout the roof void. - Installing a breather membrane below the new slating and reinforced 5U felt above the sarking boards. - Replacing all lead ridge cappings and replacing all lead flashings. - Stripping and replacing lead flat roofs in new lead in accordance with the Lead Sheet Association. - Cleaning the low-level lead flat roofs, then coating in a liquid plastics coating. - Replacing the life expired west facing cast iron rooflight and north facing single glazed timber window in like for like units. - Redecorating selected timber windows. - Replacing all gutters and downpipes in new cast iron. - Managing a LARC through a package of asbestos removal works. - Internal decoration works following the completion of the asbestos removal works and the reinstating of the walls and ceiling in plasterboard sheets. - Further miscellaneous works.
