Tender description
City of Doncaster Council are looking to develop an Assistive Technology Hub in the Community. We are running an engagement event at CAST in Doncaster City Centre on Tuesday 10th June 2025; this event will be attended by Strategic and Operational Leads across Adult Social Care:- Our vision is: - - To enable people in the Doncaster community to live their best lives as independently as possible. - To support the best outcomes for local people to live happy and healthy lives and aim to support to reduce people needing to be admitted to hospital, which can increase their needs and prevent being able to return to independence. - We will draw on experts by experience with lived experience of drawing on our services to shape the types of Assistive Technology which would have the best impact on local people. - This proposal is part of our Local Account Your Care and Support Doncaster 2025 priority which is to improve our Assistive Technology offer - We would like to hear from providers that can provide wide ranging and cutting-edge assistive technology that can support people across the community with a variety of needs. - The ask in the new offer not just for standard telecare packages such as lifeline units, pendants, bed sensors etc. - We want to see things that will make a real difference to enhance people’s lives. We want to support a less prescriptive approach and moving beyond the standard telecare approach broaden our offer as a service. The event will support: - - Using this engagement to help us design a specification to refinement our requirements for the AT Hub, Answering questions from providers. Understanding the market offer to inform the specification we are currently preparing. Sharing our emerging plans and vision for Assistive Technology.
