Tender description

The South East London (SEL) boroughs of Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, and Southwark are considering long-term options for future commissioning of Community Equipment Services. Community equipment services provide a range of equipment to residents that enables independence and wellbeing at home, assists carers in moving and handling residents, and can prevent admission to in-patient units, or referrals to other services. Equipment includes aids for personal care, riser recliner chairs, grab rails, hospital beds and pressure mattresses, sensory needs equipment etc. To avoid any duplication of work by potential providers, SEL have partnered with North Central London (NCL) boroughs who are undertaking similar horizon scanning work for this information gathering exercise. If you consent to SEL sharing your response with NCL then please indicate your agreement within Q6 of the questionnaire below. Please complete the enclosed questionnaire (appendix A) and submit the response via the messaging service. This is NOT the commencement of a procurement procedure, neither is it a call for expressions of interest. This notice does not constitute a call for competition to procure any services for the Council and the Council is not bound to accept any proposals offered. The Council is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in this soft market testing/sounding exercise. Any procurement of any services by the council in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions of the Procurement Act 2023.
