IFD IDVA Support - Victim Support

Bedford Borough Council are seeking to Direct Award the sum of £39,822 + 2.5% Constellia fees to VICTIM SUPPORT for them to provide specialist support to Bedford Borough Children’s Services & MARAC where Children & Families experiencing domestic abuse have been referred into the Integrated Front Door (MASH). The initial contract will be for 1 year from 1st April 2025 (or from the date the contract is able to start) to 31st March 2026. If the works carried out in year 1 are satisfactory and progress is evidenced, then there may be an option to extend the contract for a further year. Victim Support will support Bedford Borough Council Children’s Services by: · Assist in decision making along with the MARAC Co-ordinator and MARAC lead around appropriateness of referrals into MARAC. · Providing consistency at MARAC meetings – acting as the voice of the victim/survivor, making decisions in the best interest of the victim survivor, appropriately challenging where required other views and opinions. · Act as a single point of contact, support and consultancy for enquiries from staff within the IFD and the Conect Team in relation to domestic abuse referrals received. · Provide bite sized training to staff groups where need is identified. · Support the implementation of the Safe & Together model. · Provide appropriate IDVA support to high-risk families experiencing domestic abuse.
