Bedford Borough Council are seeking to Direct Award the sum of £40,00 Excluding 2.5% Constellia fees to EMBRACE for them to provide specialist KIDVA support to children identified as high risk of harm through a parent being referred into Bedford Borough MARAC within a 3-month time frame. EMBRACE will support Bedford Borough Council Children’s Services by provide emotional support to children, whilst educating and prioritising their safety. They will work with and alongside the designated guardians IDVA and will carry out the following: · Support the notification and sharing of information between key agencies in respect of domestic abuse. · Ensure that the needs of child are addressed by the appropriate adults caring for them. · Provide a high-quality specialist, innovative support service thereby reducing risks and improving outcomes. · Promote a consistent response to children's needs. · Work closely with the Police and other safeguarding authorities to share information with education providers. · Maintain contact with nominated lead as the recipient of this information relating to the child or young person who had been involved in a domestic incident. · Work in partnership with a range of agencies to ensure the safety of victims and survivors. · Represent the voice of the Child at MARAC (Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences) where appropriate to promote the best interests of the child.
