Glasgow Kelvin College is looking to appoint a supplier for the provision of barber training courses with the purpose to provide students with ready-for-work skills which meet industry needs. Lot 1: Glasgow Kelvin College is looking to appoint a supplier for the provision of Barber training courses with the purpose to provide our students with ready for work skills which meet industry needs. - Location required = Central Belt - Space requirement = barbershop set up with 16 positions inc. station, chair, mirror per position; back wash facility; interactive white board for theory lessons; storage space for stock; wifi connection. - staffing requirement = provide staff to deliver 24 hrs per week; staff must be current barbers working in the industry part time (and then will teach on course part time); Staff must hold a minimum of level 2 city and guilds barbering qualifications; Staff must have a minimum of 5 yrs working in the barbering industry; staff must have some teaching experience. - Partner requirements - have a solid reputation within the barbering industry and work to MADE ethos of teaching and learning; have extensive links with industry to support student placement initiatives; Have extensive links and reputation to support marketing of course; Be able to contribute to social media posting and advertising; provide and manage staff delivering the training programme; the supplier will employ the staff delivering the training programmes, be responsible for staff wellbeing, payroll and contracts.
