Tender description

NHS Health Checks in Southwark are carried out in GP surgeries. As part of the NHS Health Check Programme, the NHS Health Check includes testing patient's blood for cholesterol and (for high-risk patients), glucose. Combined with other metrics, these results are used to assess the patient's risk for cardiovascular disease. Southwark Council commission a provider to deliver the devices for point-of-care testing (POCT), in which near-patient finger-prick testing through POCT devices is used to deliver results to patients during the appointment.
