Supporting People Affected by Drug and Alcohol Use in Dumfries and Galloway

This opportunity is for Providers to support people affected by drug and alcohol use in Dumfries and Galloway. This service is designed to achieve a number of key targets including;(i) increased numbers accessing drug and alcohol treatment services (ii) quick access to appropriate support and treatment, (iii) relapse prevention support, (iv) reduce drug and/or alcohol related harm and (iv) clear routes into Talking Therapies and specialist treatment services for those who, through screening and follow up, had been identified as requiring such interventions. Lot 1: Alcohol and Drug Service The service will be provided for individuals over 18 currently residing in Dumfries and Galloway who have or are recovering from an alcohol and /or drug-related problem and will be delivered from accessible locations throughout Dumfries and Galloway. Lot 2: Talking Therapies A Talking Therapies service, providing counselling, is expected to offer a range of high intensity interventions by professionally trained staff, supported by low intensity interventions delivered by competent staff across our integrated services. Lot 3: Assertive Outreach The outreach service will be provided for individuals over the age of 18 currently residing in Dumfries and Galloway who have had a non-fatal overdose or have been identified as a high-risk client. The service will ensure a rapid response to provide the individual with harm reduction advice, referral into treatment or practical support to ensure their wellbeing. Lot 4: Family Support Service The service will be provided for individuals over the age of 18 currently residing in Dumfries and Galloway who have been or are affected by a loved one’s drug or alcohol use.
