NCCA CfT for the provision of Managed Irish Translation Services

Tender description

The National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) advises the Minister for Education and Skills on curriculum and assessment for early childhood education and for primary and post-primary schools. Full details of the organisation and its remit can be found on www.ncca.ie NCCA manages most of its translations through a third party company and are looking to continue to outsource the management of all processes and resources outlined in this tender to the winning bidder. NCCA has a language database which includes a style guide, and sectoral memory and terminology databases at varying stages of development. Further information regarding this, as well as access to database materials, will be provided, as required, to the successful tenderer. A. A full Managed Translation Service (English to Irish and Irish to English) to include provision of integrated booking and tracking system. Successful tenderer will manage all processes and resources on behalf of NCCA (flow of assignments and individual translators). B. Standard level translations and high-level translation (if, and as, required) of educational/corporate materials to suit a variety of audiences, media and purposes. C. Quality assurance processes (translation, revision, proofing) that meet with ISO Standards 17100:2015 D. Translations of static web text and social media content on a daily/weekly basis through CMS built-in translation tool via API E. Development and maintenance of NCCA language database including NCCA style guide, memory and terminology databases (sectoral) and use/apply to all translated materials F. Very occasionally translating work into other EU languages as required to support NCCA’s work
