Works Description: The Hillingdon and Uxbridge Cemetery Gatehouse is a Grade 2 listed building which is currently in a dilapidated condition due to the lack of use and minimal maintenance over the years and has been included on Historic England’s list of at-risk buildings. The building currently has hoarding erected around it to both stop the risk of anti-social behavior in the vacant building and to keep people away from the elements of the building which may pose a risk to their safety (such as falling masonry). The hoarding was built over 5 years ago, and some areas start to rot and are unstable so needs to be replaced as soon as possible. The employer is looking for suitably qualified contractors with heritage project experience. This project is to do remedial works to the structure and make the building safe for access - roofing, floor joists, brick repairs, trees removal etc. Contract type - JCT D&B As Amended.
