Tender description

Plymouth City Council ('The Council') would like to invite you to provide a tender to support the work of the Peninsula Transport Shadow Sub-National Transport Body (PTSTB) and Peninsula Rail Task Force (PRTF). Peninsula Transport is a shadow sub-national transport body, bringing together the five lead transport authorities in the peninsula; Cornwall, Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay to transform the economic potential of the region. Working closely with co-opted members and key stakeholders from the private and public sector, the partnership is responsible for defining and delivering the strategic transport priorities for the peninsula. Plymouth City Council are the Communications lead for Peninsula Transport and hence have the responsibility for procuring a communications and Public Relations provider on behalf of the Sub-national Transport Body (STB). The PTSTB Board requested that PCC procure and award the new contract for the Communications and Public Relations partner on behalf of Peninsula Transport at its meeting on the 5th of October 2023. The current contract for a communication and PR provider ends on the 31st of March 2024 and a new provider needs to be in place from the 1st April 2024 to ensure that there is a continuous provision of communications support for the STB. The anticipated duration of the contract is for 2 years with an option to extend for a further year. The Council have issued a procurement via Supplying The South West portal (www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk) with a submission deadline of 5th March 2024 (noon).
