Foundation Years - DfE Support to the Early Years Sector THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION Description The Early Years Foundation Stage Implementation Team are seeking to ascertain the supply base for an external partner to work with them to provide support to the early years (EY) sector to enable high quality teaching and practice in early years settings through the delivery of Foundation Years. The intention is to understand if there are suppliers that can provide continued support to the sector and deliver crucial information about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) via a range of means including the website, blogs, vodcasts, social media, a newsletter and events. The EYFS framework sets the standards that school and childcare providers must meet for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 5. We want to continue supporting the implementation of evidence based and effective practice in the EYFS as well supporting recent reforms to the framework. The Foundation Years platform enables us to share guidance, information, and best practice to support high-quality early childhood education and care (ECEC). Evidence tells us that high-quality ECEC has a positive impact on children's outcomes in both the short and long term, particularly for the most disadvantaged children. If a decision is made to undertake a tender the it is anticipated the resulting contract will be for a period of 12-months. For the avoidance of doubt no information provided in response to this questionnaire will be used by the Authority in assessing providers during any potential future procurement process.
