Energy Managers Training

Tender description

A key part of NHS England Energy Management Strategy is to ensure the development of the workforce to a nationally recognised standard. This training will address the gap in the quality of Energy Managers across the NHS. Significantly, it was also identified that there was no industry recognised qualification available for staff to aspire to. . This Business Case provides for a Nationally recognised training package and qualification to be provided for Trust Energy Managers. This programme is designed to enhance the qualifications, opportunities, development and recognition of serving energy managers throughout the NHS over 3 years with the breakdown based on the following; Year 1 £150,000, Year 2- £150,000 and Year 3- £150,000 =. Funding is provided by CCS as part of the NHSE-CCS Basket at approximately £3.1m p.a.over the three years. The funding is provided to upskill and build energy management capability in the NHS.
