10-12 Norton Road Heritage Shopfront Restoration

Tender description

The project is part of the Stockton Northern Gateway Townscape Heritage (TH) Programme which is focused at the northern end of Stockton High Street extending up Norton Road. The TH Programme is funded jointly by the National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) and Stockton on Tees Borough Council. The project to 10-12 Norton Road is being supported by the building grant element of the TH Scheme which requires match funding investment from the building owner, which in this case is SBC. This is being funded from the Indigenous Growth Fund. The project has been through an approval process in line with the TH governance and approval structure, it was endorsed by the TH Stakeholder Group prior to receiving approval from the TH Programme Group (22.10.2024), TH Grant Panel (21.10.2024) and NLHF (20.11.2024). The contract award is for £210,417.58, this is funded by £154,656.92 (73.5%) from the National Lottery Heritage Fund and £55,760.66 (26.5%) from SBC using Indigenous Growth Fund. SBC invited 6 suppliers to quote on the shopfront restoration worked for 10-12 Norton Road. This project is focused on the historic regeneration of the property and therefore suppliers capable of restoring specific features which are heritage specific were identified to bid. We received 6 bids against weightings of Quality 30%, Price 60% and Social Value 10%. Liveco Ltd T/A Vest Construction were the successful supplier.
