NCF: Forest For The Nation - Stage 1 The Authority is looking to award grant funding for the creation of a Forest for the Nation in England. The grant funded competition is a 2-stage process. This Stage 1 competition is open for any/all applicants to submit outline proposals to establish a Forest for the Nation, which will be evaluated, to create a shortlist of up to a maximum of 4 successful applicants, who will be awarded up to a maximum of £150k to develop and submit a proposal for stage 2. Shortlisted successful applicants at Stage 1 will be invited to submit a fully costed proposal via a restricted competition at Stage 2. Grant funding has been made available to fund the development of a full proposal (referred to as the Application Development Grant), which will be awarded to successful shortlisted applicants of the Stage 1 competition. Anyone can apply; however, it is essential that you have a local authority as part of the partnership to receive and manage the S31 grant at Stage 2. This is the stage 1 of the Forest for the Nation competition.
