Croydon Deaf Access

Tender description

The Council invites quotations for the provision of Croydon Deaf Access- (In tend ref) <br /><br />The service will support d/Deaf people in Croydon to better access service and support them completing forms. The service will provide drop-in sessions that will last approximately 30 minutes each and also the opportunity to book longer sessions at different times<br /><br />Aim is to provide information, advice, and guidance to support the d/Deaf community in the London borough of Croydon. This will ensure Croydon Council is meeting its requirements under the Care Act 2014 to prevent, reduce and delay future needs for support, and to provide information and advice to its residence. Under the Equality Act 2010, this provision should be accessible to disability groups such as those with a sensory impairment. This service will therefore support this requirement.<br />The service will be delivered in British sign language as this is usually the preferred language of the d/Deaf community as this is their first language.<br /><br />The duration of the contract is two years commencing 1st April 2024 until 31st March 2026.<br />
