2036 The Provision of Catering Consultant at De Montfort University, Leicester. - AWARD

De Montfort University (DMU) seeks to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Consultant to carry out the following catering service: De Montfort University (DMU) has a diverse student population of circa 23,000. Chartwells, part of the Compass UK and Ireland Group, have provided the catering service at DMU since 2003 and the current contract expires on 31st July 2026. The current provision includes 7 units, comprising of coffee shops, retail shop, staff lounge, Subway and the main campus Food Village. DMU are seeking support from a catering consultant to provide expertise and specialist advice on o to oversee the creation of a contract renewal strategy, solutions, creation of a detailed specification, tender review and contract mobilisation plus phasing and implementation of the outgoing/incoming service providers. o Provide regular updates via reports and RAG status. o planning and preparation for the retender (including internal stakeholder engagement), o analysis and assessment of tender submissions and awarding a new contract. The objective is to appoint a catering provider that delivers a high quality, customer focused service that meets the diverse needs of students, leading to high satisfaction levels and value for money as well as being commercially viable. It is expected that the catering consultant will be appointed in August/September 2023, with support required through to the commencement of the new contract in August 2026.
