Children’s Palliative care is an active and total approach to care embracing physical, emotional and spiritual elements. It focuses on quality of life for the child and support for the family and includes management of distressing symptoms, provision of respite and care through death and bereavement. Lot 1: Direct Award Process A - Keech Hospice is an existing provider of children's palliative care for HWE ICB and the ICB is satisfied that Keech are capable of providing the future services required. Keech is currently the only local provider with the capacity to provide the range and volume of end-of-life services to the child population of Hertfordshire. Keech have long and well-established links with all the surrounding hospices, community nurse providers and managed clinical networks. Additional information: Contract is offered on a 3 year term with 2 year extension available. Funding information provided is based on the full 3+2 potential contract length available. Contract end without the extension would be 31/03/2028. With the extension would be 31/03/2030.
