HEIW Provision of Community Nursing Education and Training

Health Education and Improvement Wales (HEIW) are undertaking a review of Health Professional Education and Training Services delivered to NHS Wales. Health Education and Improvement Wales have sought to commission Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) and Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ) education and training in the following areas: - Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN): Health Visiting (HV) School Nursing (SN) Occupational Health (OH) - Specialist Practitioner Qualification (SPQ): General Practice Nursing (GPN) District Nursing (DN) Community Childrens Nursing (CCN) Community Mental Health Nursing (CMHN) Community Learning Disability Nursing (CLDN) Lot 2: SCPHN – School Nursing Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) Lot 2 SCPHN School Nursing (SN) which is divided into sub lots: 2a. North (BCUHB & North POW) 2b. West/ Central (South & Mid POW, HDUHB, SBUHB) 2c. East/ South (CTMHB, CVUHB & ABUHB). The Contract shall commence on the Effective Date 1st September 2024 Implementation period: 1st September 2024 - 31st August 2025 Delivery of the Programme shall commence from the Service Commencement Date 1st September 2025 until expiry on 31st August 2030 unless extended under the provisions of the Contract being, option to extend for 3 years in three 12-month intervals Lot 3: SPQ - District Nursing Specialist Practice Qualification (SPQ) Lot 3 SPQ District Nursing (SN) which is divided into sub lots: 3a. North (BCUHB & North POW) 3b. West/ Central (South & Mid POW, HDUHB, SBUHB) 3c. East/ South (CTMHB, CVUHB & ABUHB).
