Tender description
For the development of best practice guidance and resources for local authority delivery against the planned new legal duty to offer family group decision making (FGDM) meetings. Lot 1: The purpose of this PIN is to initiate market consultation and is not being used as a call for competition. The Department for Education is seeking early market engagement on developing best practice guidance and resources for local authority delivery against the planned new legal duty to offer family group decision making (FGDM) meetings. As set out in the recently published CSC Policy Paper we seek to legislate to mandate local authorities to offer FGDM meetings to all families at the pre-proceedings stage (i.e. families with children on the edge of care). This will support the Department’s objectives of keeping children safe and helping families thrive, with the support of family networks. The Department plans to run a market engagement event, to give prospective suppliers insight into the developing requirements for this potential procurement. As part of this process, we are interested in gathering insight from suppliers and organisations of all sizes in the following areas: Providers who will be interested in competing for a contract to develop best practice guidance and resources for local authorities to deliver FGDM meetings safely and successfully. We may use an online questionnaire to collate responses. This questionnaire will not be used as part of any competition nor evaluated and will be used only for the purposes of gathering information to help shape the requirements and the ITT. A Pre Market Engagement event will be held on Friday 13 December 2024,10.30-11.30 , which will provide further information on the developing requirements. For suppliers interested in attending this initial on line Pre Market Engagement event, please indicate your interest by emailing Vicki.Gregg@education.gov.uk, by midday 11th December. A MS teams invite will be forwarded to you prior to the online event.
