Tender description

Off site visits is a proven asset for all schools in the teaching of life skills to pupils, for the engagement of students who have difficulty with on-site practices and who learn better through kinetic means. LCC has a legal duty to provide competence training to it's employees in order to facilitate such activities safely. Schools are increasingly finding it difficult to source such training to a sufficiently rigorous standard. Training to standards set by the Outdoor Education Advisors Panel (OEAP) requires that the training staff are experienced first hand in the leading of such school trips which can extend from simple visits to local amenities to foreign visits and expeditions to remote and undeveloped countries. In addition school visits can include adventurous activities such as rock climbing, skiing, orienteering, coasteering, Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
