WBS-ITT-57596 Sale of Excess Plasma

Tender description

NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, Procurement Services (NWSSP_ProcS) on behalf of the Welsh Blood Service (WBS), a division of Velindre NHS Trust, and Northern Ireland Blood and Transplant Service (NIBTS), is seeking to renew the arrangements to supply excess plasma recovered from the processing of whole blood for the benefit of the UK Health Service. The plasma offered will be suitable for use in the manufacture of diagnostic reagents but does not meet the Joint Professional Advisory Committee (JPAC) specifications for Fresh Frozen Plasma. It cannot be used either as a clinical blood component or as a raw material in the manufacture of plasma-derived medicines.NOTE: The authority is using eTenderwales to carry out this procurement process.
