Portlethen Community Woodland - Path upgrades

Tender description

1000m aggregate path upgrade works, 1.8m width. Drainage and path camber required on slopes. Lot 1: 1000m of path surfacing has degraded and narrowed from an average width of 1.8m to 1.2m whilst short sections of path have been identified as having drainage issues. The paths will therefore be upgraded; scrapped back to their original width of 1.8m and 100mm aggregate sub-base type 1 will be applied followed by 25mm dust to improve the surfacing. Sections with drainage issues will be raised up with 150mm aggregate sub-base type 1. A 1:30 camber has been specified to allow the water to run off the path surface. A 1:20 camber has been specified for the steeper slopes. A drainage ditch will be constructed along a section of path to the east of the site to remove water ingress along that section.
