O Hanrahan Bridge Ground Investigation Contract for Kildare County Council

Tender description

The works are required to provide, geotechnical, structural and utilities information to allow the design and construction of a widening of the quay wall at the four corners of OHanrahan Bridge, New Ross, County Wexford. The scope of the works envisaged under this ground investigation contract include: a) Vertical cable percussion boreholes and rotary core drilling, sampling and in situ testing; b) Trial pits, sampling and testing; c) Slit trenching for utilities; d) GPR for identifying location of existing ground anchors; e) Laboratory testing of soil samples for engineering properties, behaviour, contamination and suitability. f) Preparation of detailed Main Factual Report as per BS5930 and the Specification, together with the production of Digital Data to AGS Version 3.1 (1999) Format. g) Liaison with the Local Authority and external bodies; h) Works including the use of traffic management in urban areas.
